This picture shows the "star" in black, but somewhere I saw it done in brown and then the scrappy diamonds part was beiges and different shades of browns and was gorgeous. My mom's group is doing it in the black and batiks for a raffle quilt, but when I do mine I thin it will be in the brown

Look at book "String Quilt Revival ". They have some great ideas.

Do a search for "brown quilts" and click images. You'll get a ton. Any monochrome quilt will give you good ideas, for that matter.

A Jacob's Ladder could be done with brown and a contrasting second fabric.

Took some time to find the picture from my previous idea. Here's a picture.

So many great ideas. I knew I could count on you to help me. Now the problem is to decide which on to start with. I may have enough to make two different ones. Thank you all for all your ideas.
