The second one is a much more graceful design and doesn't look like the squares were just patched on as an after thought.

Gosh, as has become obvious, both layouts are beautiful. You might have to put numbers in a hat and draw, #1 or #2! lol
My favorite is the second one and sure, you could rearrange some of the triangles. There just isn't a bad way to go here. Love the colors and fabrics. She will be thrilled, no matter what. :thumbup: |

Once it is all sewed together and quilted he will not know the difference. If he is like my husband, he will just tell you how much he likes it. Good luck!

I like them both, but the first would be better if lapquilt, but I like the design better of the second one for a wall hanging. Oh, hey, just cut out more and make it reversible, one way on one side and the other way on the reverse!
