Help I need Ideas for Wedding Gift - Quilt Pattern

Hi all

One of my lovely coworkers is getting married next year and I'd like to make her and fiance a wedding gift.

I'm thinking a nice applique cushion or quilt including their initials and date BUT I would prefer to follow a pattern .

So has anyone seen a pattern that I can buy or download.

Thanks

Monogram some towels or pillowcases. I keep it simple.

I agree with Sandygirl. Keep it simple. One of the loveliest quilts I have ever seen was a neutral batik quilt in a simple log cabin but, any pattern will do. A throw size would be quick and easy. My best advice as to what Not to do, don't go by what the bride says are her colors. Wedding colors change from life colors. If it's pretty, it will be loved.

There are a few interesting wall hanging quilts with hearts that might work:

Sometimes I hesitate to put anything but date of birth on items.

Many marriages seem to be rather short-lived nowadays.

Then maybe make 2 quilts - a Him and a Hers!

I made a wedding quilt, throw size, that used jelly rolls and made a heart design. It was fairly easy to do. Used patterned strips for the heart design and an ivory for the side/ ends and the background strips in between the patterned strips. I don't have a picture, sorry. But it was easy enough to do. Starting with the center strip, use the full length of your pattern strip + a few inches of background on each end. Then use that length to guide you for each strip above and below to make the heart pattern, if that makes sense. It turned out really cute, and wasn't fussy.
