Peckish, did you make all of your strip sets DLDLD? Sorry, our laptop died and I'm using my cellphone to read QB. Your quilt is beautiful but I can't make out all the details! Thanks!

Yep!

I've got the blocks sewn into rows; now the rows are going together. Matching the seams is a little tricky. The bad news is, the outside edges are on the bias, so they can get a little squirrely. The good news is, the outside edges are on the bias, so it's very easy to tame them with a steam iron! :D

Here's what I've found works best: stick pins through the seams while they're lined up, dab a dot of washable school glue at that spot and dry with the iron, then sew the seam. Sometimes I have to do some pulling and easing as I sew to avoid puckers, but it's not that difficult. Once the seam is sewn, then I go at it with a steam iron and those bias edges just magically morph into behaving themselves and they line up wonderfully. When I'm happy with the seam intersections, I press the allowances open and go on to the next section.

p.s. Sorry this was so long winded and you didn't really ask, but "Yep!" was too short of an answer and I wasn't allowed to post it. So I decided to go into more (hopefully helpful) detail.

Thanks so much for your help/advice. I'm right there with you on using the glue...I'm a glue convert!
