The original pattern is called Around the Twist by Trudie Hughes. When I first started quilting she was very well know as a top quilters. She was the quilter who came up with how to cut half square triangles by adding 7/8" to make them the right size. If you can find any of her books they are still a great reference with some wonderful quilts.

Isn't it amazing how using different colors can change the look of a pattern.

It may be "garden twist".

Patterns are reinvented all the time in magazines and pattern. To me, it is called a GARDEN TWIST. This was my Garden Twist that was a Queen size.

I see two blocks. The large floral pieces are snowballed, some with dark and some with light. Then the smaller pieces are square with dark and light rectangles frames around them.

That's what I was thinking.

That "free" Garden Twist pattern is not the complete pattern. It says to make the basic quilt, then follow this pattern to make the scalloped border. I know because I tried it. I was lucky enough to find the basic pattern in a quilters resale store. Still haven't made it though.
