I only have the mini size and although I seldom use it I do like
it (when I can find it). YES WalMart is now carrying them and they are also carrying the Clover Wonder Clips in both the 10pk and 50pk as well as the large green clips. |
The thing I don't like about this tool is: you can't put the cover on the back end of the ripper so you have both things in your hand at the same time. It won't fit on the end of the Seam Fix ripper because it's a safety issue. I don't use the ripper part of the Seam Fix. It's not sharp or thin enough for me. I just buy it for the eraser end. Cheap at Walmart. |
I wouldn't spend the extra $ on a tool like that. As others have mentioned, there are different ways. My preferred "tool" is a piece of painter's tape wrapped around a finger. Works great, and is cheap!

I use a pencil eraser, much cheaper.

My BFF gave me one of those and I just thought it was a seam ripper with a knobby head. Thanks for letting me know about the other valuable tool on there.

I don't have a clue what it is called so don't know how to find it on line. I ripped out a seam at a quilting guild meeting and a gal handed me a tool to clean up the loose threads. It almost looked like a pencil with sort of a big eraser on the end. It worked great (much to my surprise) so I thought I'd pick one up at JoAnns....wrong. They didn't have them and had no clue what I was talking about.
Of course I knew all I had to do was ask on the Quilting Board and I'd get an answer licketey split - LOL...the GENIUS Board. Thanks for any help you can give me. Pat |
They sell two different sizes our WalMart

I use a mini lint roller or a piece of masking tape. Had not heard of this one. Thanks.
