Help me decide what to do with this fabric?
1 Attachment(s)
Hi all! I discovered Laurel Burch when my swap partner listed it as her favorite fabric and found this great seahorse fabric. My mom LOVES seahorses so I got a bunch of the seahorse fabric and coordinates from LB. I have a bit more than 1/2 yard of each fabric and I am trying to figure out what pattern to use. Does anyone have ideas of what type of quilt construction would really showcase the colors and patterns on this fabric?! Thanks!

Really pretty fabrics. Here's one quilt pattern that I like to use now and again: Bailey's Quilt.

Love the fabric. I have some of the curvy line ones in my stash.

JenniePenny- I like that pattern! I might have to play with that and see!
ontheriver- isn't it lovely?! I love the metallic, but not sparkly aspect to it. Now what to do with it... :) |
I would look at Google photos to see what other quilters have done with Laura's fabric:

Hike addict: what a sweet kitty you have as your avatar!

All those wavy lines make me think of water in the ocean. Do you, by any chance, do applique? It would make a great wall hanging with fishes, and other under water things.

such nice fabrics, try googling "wavy ocean quilts" and click images, some really cute quilt ideas come up. Maybe a
drunkards path ? or something to showcase the wavy ocean fabric ? |
sorry, I didn't mean drunkards path, Im thinking of a quilt block that looks like a big wave, maybe its called monkeys tail ?
