Variation of hunters star very very easy
|
I've tried to put a picture collage together showing how I did a hunters star easy easy way. Measure lengths on the cutting mat squares. Hope it makes sense. I was told next time I do a hunters star I must do it this way.

I think I found it. It is called The Gretchen Block. There are several tutorials on blogs. I found it here on this site too. It doesn't have the applique block but I am guessing that would be easy enough to add. I hope this helps.

KLO, I think it is the subtle colors that make this and I agree it would be beautiful for a wedding or special gift.

similar to this Garden Lattice quilt in a Day but with different proportions. |
Well, I just hit the jackpot! Craftsy has the pattern, the Gretchen Quilt, and it is a free download!! Isn't the web wonderful!

THANKS for the update. Will have to go and check Craftsy out.

I think it is a hunters star block. When put together differently, they have a different look. The secondary pattern shows up in some layouts but not in others.

I just saw something like this recently but I am not sure where. It sure is pretty, isn't it ?
