Help name this pattern please

Hi,
I'm looking for help to name this quilt pattern. I'm moderately good at designing them but really bad at giving them names. If I ever make it I'll probably donate it to Quilts of Valor. Any ideas?

I really like that. Well done. First thing that came to mind was Star Crossed.

Quilting Chris 08-30-2018 07:18 PM

Oh, I like Star Crossed a lot. Thank you.

zozee 08-30-2018 07:21 PM

Very cool design. I gotta hand it to you folks who create patterns. What a gift.

First thing I thought of was Radiant Beams.

thimblebug6000 08-30-2018 07:30 PM

Well I'm not much help, first thing I thought of was fried eggs!

givio 08-30-2018 07:34 PM

I'd call it Duck, Duck, Goose. The center square make me think of a wide open beak honking, in the white feathers, in the blue pond. A big part of the pattern is flying geese. And the blocks are set one way, the other way, one way, the other way, which made me think of the game, and children tapping heads around the circle, each 'duck' waiting for, "Goose!!".

lol But, I like fried eggs too! lol

Peckish 08-30-2018 08:38 PM

Cool pattern!! "Fried eggs" made me chuckle.

Cari-in-Oly 08-30-2018 08:59 PM

Fried eggs was the first thing I thought of too, lol.

Cari

Me too! No artistic blood here.

quiltingcandy 08-30-2018 10:44 PM

My first thought was Bacon and Eggs.

Mumto2 08-31-2018 01:55 AM

I thought of fried eggs too!

that' s what i thought of, too - sunnyside up fried eggs.

how about "suunyside up" for a design name?

ArtsyOne 08-31-2018 03:06 AM

Oooh! I like Sunnyside Up!

WANNABEE 08-31-2018 03:43 AM

Eggs over easy?

KwiltyKahy 08-31-2018 04:43 AM

Great pattern. Not good at naming either but you seem to have some good suggestions here.

I saw angular fried eggs too, LOL! I think the colors are the reason. No name comes to mind. I would just name it something artsy and unrelated, like a geographical location or someone's name.

Kitsie 08-31-2018 06:18 AM

Me also! And I really like it!

osewfast 08-31-2018 06:23 AM

Eggs popped into my mind, too. Title ' Which came First ~ the Goose or the Golden Egg?' or something along those lines.;)

If the yellow was not so bright, egg/yolk colored, the impression or effect would be different.

Very interesting pattern! Bravo!

How about doing it up in a different color scheme or arrangement?

Sometimes a design impression changes when the colors are different.

Jo Belmont 08-31-2018 06:48 AM

That is one of the neatest HST patterns I have ever seen. Great job! I'm drawing blanks too on names, though.

barny 08-31-2018 07:34 AM

"Follow Me This Way" Or "This Way Please".

Ditter43 08-31-2018 08:07 AM

"Rotation"

nativetexan 08-31-2018 10:38 AM

colors make me say Egg Yolks!

Here's one I could name Green Eggs and Ham.

Jingle 08-31-2018 03:09 PM

Lots of ideas. I never put names with my quilts. So I am no help.

wesing 08-31-2018 03:50 PM

The purple and green reminds me of Crocus blooming through the snow.

I like the suggestions you have so far. Sunny side up sounds fun, and might catch the attention of a beginner quilter.

WMUTeach 09-01-2018 03:14 AM

Sunny Side Up.........

Gerbie 09-01-2018 03:36 AM

My first thought was "Fried Eggs". glad others saw eggs in this as well. LOL

red-warrior 09-01-2018 04:13 AM

Ham & Eggs

jokir44 09-01-2018 06:16 AM

Egg-centric

bearisgray 09-01-2018 06:21 AM

It's a good design - I think the black, blue, red, peach(?), and white one shows off the subtleties of the design best.

My thoughts exactly. Must be time to eat.

OleaBlossom 09-01-2018 07:39 AM

The blue and red makes me think of ballerinas twirling/pirouetting.

That's the first thing I thought of, too.

The interesting thing is that the yellow catches your eye so much, that I didn't even see the orange blocks at all until I was trying to visualize it with a different color than yellow. The white surrounding the yellow automatically makes me think of sunnyside up eggs. It would be interesting to see the pattern using different colors.

Jules51 09-01-2018 10:50 AM

Really like the pattern! Lots of suggestions here.

maryellen2u 09-01-2018 04:38 PM

I see the white pieces which switch orientations. I think of "this way and that"
When my mother was really busy she'd say she was"turning two corners at once." I think the purple pieces are turning two corners at once!
