That is very, very cool.

Looks like you make the block the same way as that (ubiquitous) 10 minute block, but with a larger square in the middle.
Sandwich, quilt the grid lines to lock down the inner square, and then turn the edges back.
That quilting is very effective - the piece has whole North African vibe to it

You are welcome! I have not made a Cathedral Window quilt yet, but when I do I think it will be Jacob's Coat. Finding so many neat new things I haven't seen before by reading posts and searching to see what the posts are about. I am glad I found this one! Take a look at quiltershaven.net and Quilting With Charlie-her pattern is called Less Than Traditional.
