Help with pattern

I have a GGD who wants a quilt with pink and green. I have these fabrics and can't figure out a pattern. I did one for her with strips so I need something different. :-) The second picture is what I thought about doing for a border - 3" strip of black and then a 4" of the multicolored peace sign. Ideas?? :-)

I have two ideas, both really simple quilts. The first is a D9P and the second is a rectangle pattern that I don't know the name of but really easy and no matching seams. Here is a pic of each. I used a similar peace sign fabric in the D9P and it came out OK. Both of these were for young people. I think your fabrics would be great for these.

Beautiful colors...what about Trip Around the World if you don't want strips..... with that you've got squares, but then also the diamond pattern. I think it would look really pretty with those fabrics.

Jeanne's second one would look very cool in those colors!

Well, my first impression of your fabrics is that they are pretty but unexciting, pattern-wise. The bold pattern of the peace sign fabric might be a little overwhelming in the border as it doesn't have anything to play off of.
Perhaps something pretty simple and easy like a D9P with sashing in maybe a white tone on tone. Sew each 9-patch with a narrow sashing, relative size would depend on the finished size of each block ( 1-2 inches? ). Then make your cuts (the disappearing part) , sew them back together, and then just sew the blocks together. Or you could even sash between the finished blocks too if you want. You can preview that and see if you need it.
I've seen some pretty plain D9P blocks totally brought to awesomeness by using stripes, large dots, or geometric patterns in the sashing.
Good luck, and please show us what you decide to do! :)

My first thought was also a D9P with five pink fabrics and 4 green fabric for every block so that the design is more..."regulated". Or Bento box/Chopped block quilt.

Have you checked ModaBakeShop yet? They might have something suitable for fat quarters.

And I'd probably use the peace fabric as a backing instead of a border.

Pinwheel is an idea and look up cartwheel. You'd need a background fabric with both of these.

Either one of Jeanne's and a Bento Box

i agree... with the focus fabric as the centers

I would go for a very large center block and assorted borders like a medallion quilt. I do not feel that the peace sign border fabric complements the other fabrics. 2nd option would be crazy quilt with some fancy machine stitches for embellishments.
