I think it is a super little quilt; but I would leave the ants off. Maybe a red and a green border, but its lovely like it is

It is good you could come to a conclusion and move on to other things. I just write to encourage you to not let this become a permant UFO. It is too pretty and you have come so far. Best wishes.

One last thing- Maybe this one of those quilts that you never finish because you do not really like it because it did not turn out the way you imagine in the beginnning. Nothing wrong with that. Rather than let it sit in the UFO pile why not donate it to a quilt group that would finish it and then donate the finished quilt. Or maybe even put the ants on it and let it be a picnic quilt. Don't we ALL have tops that do not speak to us and we may never finish?
