breathe deep and go snuggle with your current stash with your favorite beverage-it will be all right

When this comes over me I go play with the stash. Then I see I already have so much fabric!!

Ok I can get through this. I can do it. If I keep telling myself that I just might believe it. NOT!! Scrap quilts are dynamic and colorful. Bonnie Hunter has a website that's chock full of scrap quilt patterns-- free. http://www.quiltville.com/ |
Totally can relate.....

I understand completely. I just bought a groupon thing for a LQS for fifty percent off. I have til Jan to use it, but we'll see how long it takes. It is also not helping that stitchinheaven.com is having a buy 15 yds of fabric, get 15 yds free sale on friday. Nothing like a half off sale to whittle away at your defenses! Virg

Go to your sewing room and handle some fabrics, pick out a pattern and start on a new project for a charity quilt. :D

Just learned more about organization of your stash, after you have put them in color order, pull out the texture, I did this and discovered I don't have much texture in my stash, good luck.
Maybe your sewing machine needs a fall cleaning? |
Go fondle your fabric stash and you'll probably find something that you forgot you have. Now, to make it feel like you are buying it, send a donation to your favorite local charity. :-)
Perhaps I should take my own advise and do this the next time I feel like buying something. |
If you do little quilts for charity ... you can cut out a BUNCH, using your stash, put them in gallon zip lock bags and you'll be all ready to sew when the "need-to-shop" syndrome passes and the "need-to-sew" itch starts!
