Janet, you need to come to my house.
I fold mine in half length wise and wrap around my 6 x 24 ruler, remove the ruler and fold in half. Then stack it on shelves. Think I will try Janet's method, looks much better. |
I fold mine over a 6" ruler like the others have stated and I l like to have mine on shelves so I can see all of it. I sort by color mostly, but do have some themes, chilrens, western, etc.

Here is how I have mine organized. Kwhite does the same thing. We both have it stacked on shelves, but you can put it in bins.

organizing it can be a chore but is so worth it.

my husband bought me acid free cardboard from the comic book shop that i wrapped my fabric on--like mini bolts of fabric. then i colorized and put it in my huge blanket chest for now until we move and have more room....my camera died and his is in his car but i'll try to post a pic later...

Here's an idea. For all the fabrics, which you can't find room for, place in one or more boxes and send it to me. I'm sure, I'll be able to find room for it all. :D
