I have many different machines and of course most of them use different bobbins that go in with the thread either clockwise or counterclockwise, the needle goes in differently; and threads differently. Some have removeable
bobbin cases, others drop-in style bobbin cases.
Sometimes I have to get the manual out so I can figure out what I'm doing.

The machine that gave me the most trouble was my Pfaff 1222E ,it threads very differently than my Singers or
Berninas. I finally had to find a manual, my favorite machine now. :-D

Make sure the bobbin and top thread are the same, sometimes that will make a difference, when it happens to me I re thread both the upper part and the bobbin...

Does anyone buy the compressed air to blow out their bobbin assembly area and needle area? I've been using that and love the results. It blows out all kind of lint.

As to the problem, I would get out my manual for the machine, go back through every single threading procedure, including the bobbin, making sure I had everything correct. I never never mess with the bobbin tension.

If all else fails, take it to a Janome sewing machine dealership and see if they can find the problem. My local dealer helps me with problems like this without charge since I buy from him.

I am sorry I dont have an answer for you.I learned a long time ago to keep a journal of things that went wrong for me with my machine.I have needed to refer to my"problem solver" many times since I started quilting.So many of our machines are different and a trip to the repair shop was a long trip if I needed to go.

Did you pull your thread thru the tension disc's? I have this problem with mine if I don't do that.

I checked with my dealership before using. He said it wouldn't hurt and in fact, sells it. He's been in business for over 50 years, so I do trust him.

Maybe your bobbin wasnt wound right. take your bobbin out & get a q tip & clean the bobbin case you will be surprise the dust that is there . Then put your bobbin back & make sure you hear the thread click. I have a 9000. Happy Thanksgiving ..

Re-thread by lifting the presser foot before you do any thing else then lower it and bring up the bobbin thread. Hold both threads when you start to sew.
