Great display of your vintage beauties:thumbup: Now I know why I cannot find machines for sale... You must find them first!!! Good for you, to get them, clean them up and have them running! It is a fun way to keep busy.
If you decide on a play date, I'd like to be included! It would be a grand time to see all those machines. |
OMG:shock:, I am so jealous. They are all so beautiful!! I could look at them all day. You have given me ideas to display my small collection.

Ooooooh! Ahhhha! What an inspiration! Couple of things happening in my near future. The 4-H office is moving. The exchange student is graduating and moving. Many of the machines and craft supplies I have will move to the new 4-H center. I'll take over the daughters room. With the new spaces, my vintage machines can be moved about to make an awesome display. However, they will be nothing as magnificent as yours. Most of the machines have cabinets. They are in working order and get used by my 4-H students. None the less, I'm thinking of ways to give the ole ladies proper recognition, as you have so aptly achieved. Bravo!

Oh, my goodness! I counted 30 machines in the pictures!

What a great collection you have. I love the way you are displaying them. They look so loved.

Wow! Nice collection. Pardon me for drooling. lol

Such a wonderful collection of power tools...I meant sewing machines. lol I tell DH that sewing machines are my power tools and I need different ones for different sewing tasks. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
I have about 16 machines, some are electric, some treadles,1 hand crank, 1 serger and 2 modern plastic wonders. Quite a few of my machines are portables, 3 Singer treadles and 6 heads to swap out among the cabinets. Most of my collection are vintage straight stitch Singers. I find it sad that the Singers of today don't live up to what a Singer machine should be. |
A person after my own heart. I enjoyed looking at your collection. I love vintage singers too. As I looked at your collection, I didn't see a black 201. I'm looking for one and then I'll stop collecting. I don't have as many machines as you have, but I also don't have the room. I love old black singers but for quilting, I use my series 400s the most. (I love the way I can move the needle to the right and get a perfect 1/4 seam.)
At this point my collection of Singers include, two 301s (both black and both are shortbeds); two featherweights (one white, one black) one treadle (model 15) one 66; one 99; one Spartan; two 401s (my favorites); one 403; one 128 handcrank; one 27 electric. I bought the Spartan with the idea of making it into a handcrank. |
Wow, I am speechless....!

And I thought I was well endowed with my two Singers that I switch whenever one of them has to go to the shop.
