I have tried to contact Singer but they do not respond. I am on disability and can't afford to have someone else to set it. I would even like to find a copy of it's manual.

can you do this yourself...I thought when the timing was gone so was the machine....I know a quilter at retreat hit a pin and hers was off and couldn't be fixed but it was a mechanical Kenmore so don't know

Timing can be readjusted, but it's a technical job. Regular sewing machine manuals don't show how to do it.

I think your best bet is to join a vintage Singer machine group at http:groups.yahoo.com . There are experts on those groups who can direct you to the right manual and/or explain how to do it yourself.

I used to watch the repair man at the Singer dealer...I asked him what he was doing and he explained that timing is NOT something that the average person can fix....he had been a Singer repairman for 30+ years.
Sorry, but I doubt that you will find a tutorial on timing.

I disagree....depends on how badly you want to get something fixed yourself. Try, try again until you get it.
