We are getting a Hobby Lobby in March - thank goodness. Resources for fabric where we live are very slim. The few quilt shops we have within a 50 mile radius are small and inventory is small too. Hoping HL will add some variety and choices.

I was checking their ad today and saw that Hobby Lobby has a projected 2/1/13 opening in Upland, CA.

You are all so lucky to have any kind of fabric shops near you. The nearest one to me is in Billings,Mt 125 miles away!I now order from catalogs as I don't get to the "big" city but maybe 1x a month.

Most of what they carry is good quality. I am totally bored with them, tho, and don't even look there anymore. They rarely get new fabrics and just keep re-stocking the same prints forever.

When I e-mailed corporate five years ago about the drastic changes I found in the fabric and yarn departments, I was told that they could no longer afford "drop shipments" and would be having the department manager do her ordering according to her customer's wishes. If the same old fabrics are showing up for very long periods of time it may mean that they are no longer listening to their customers and are just ordering the fabrics on which they get the cheapest deals.
