Although JoAnn's has many more fabrics from which to choose, I am not impressed with the quality at all. I think the fabrics at Hobby Lobby are of a much better quality. Watch for frequent coupons. Sign up at their website and HL will send you coupons, too.

Long Island does not have a Hobby Lobby - I can only hope and wait

Hobby Lobby has everything in the way of crafts
and many different what nots.
I like there own band of yarn called You'll Luv this Yarn
But by all means go there and have a look around, one could spend the afternoon there. :o)
They have a lot of 100% cotton material
I watch for their 40& off coupons & sales,

I've never had a problem with Hobby Lobby fabric. I think the quality is loads better than Joann's, except possibly for some of their "Premium" fabrics they carry now (at a cost of $9.99 +).

HL has really pretty fabric and the one in our town has the NICEST lady running that department. We all bring our creations in to show her!
Our J'oanns went away but is supposed reopening in a new location next month. I miss their sewing "stuff" and other items.

One thing I like better about Hobby Lobby, is that if the material you want to use a 40% coupon is on sale for 30% off, you can tell the person that cuts it that you want to use your coupon and they will let you have it for the 40%.

Maybe we could have a quilting board meetup when the Temecula store opens?? Anyone interested?

That did not happen when I went to Hobby Lobby. I bought four different fabrics and asked the lady who cut my fabric if I could use my coupon on any of them, and she said No because they were already on sale. I was happy with the fabric and getting 30% off so I did not push it. Next time, I'll ask again.

I'd be interested in one when the Rancho Cucamonga store opens.
