I was forever chasing my pedal, and I finally run a couple strips of hot glue on the bottom of the pedal let it dry overnight and no more slip.

For just $8 I can finally know where that pesky pedal is all day. The only catch is that it won't stick on a carpet. I found mine at the local shipping business, but I bet they're available at office supply stores.

Ihave a cheap computer chair mat under sewing table. works great for chair and placed pedal in rhe right spot traced out line and cut out. fits perfic never moves. makes easy clean ups with a broom. thread clipping and all. great on carpet and hard wood, even concrete. chair sets on mat can't move.Just move the mat to readjust pedal

I cover it up

Thanks for all the great ideas. I have carpet and get frustrated chasing my foot pedal. I'm going to try each of the ideas til I find the one that works best for me.:)

it was nice to catch this thread. my traveling foot pedal is always moving. was reading each suggestion, and liked the waffly shelf lining, but i do already have extra waffly rug padding. and one has the extra folded back under the rug. well the rug is going to donate a piece of it for my foot pedal tomorrow morning.

I bought some of that rubbery shelf liner that comes in rolls. I didn't like it for my kitchen shelves because the dishes wouldn't slide in and out but it works very well for my foot pedal. I have vinyl planking floors.

How did you attach it to the foot pedal?

I use a jar opener, round rubber w/holes, purchased at the dollar store & it works fine. I carpet.

At home I have my foot pedal on top of a 2x12 board to get it a little higher (my cheap way of not getting a table to set my machine down in to and still be able to sew comfortably in the highest position my chair will let me.. I have a piece of vinyl of some sort on top of that and it doesn't slip..
When I sew at my guild's sewing days, it's a smooth vinyl floor. I cut a piece of that rubbery bumpy shelf liner paper - you know the cheap stuff that you can buy at the Dollar Tree? That keeps my pedal from moving anywhere at all. It's sweet :)

i now have a non traveling foot pedal. thanks to the foyer rug, it is missing a little extra padding that was doubled over. what a difference it makes. doesn't sit 100% still, but soo much better than it was.
