WOW Andrea! What an awesome save. Next question is, does you husband regularly pick trash? Give him a BIG, BIG hug for rescuing your Featherweight.

You can find cases for them on E-Bay. Hope you will love your Featherweight as much as I do. Use it every day.

I have my mom's green FW and my grandma's Centennial model. I went to the above website and bought David McCallum's dvd and book on how to maintain and repair them and did it myself! He sells parts as well. Easy, peasy little machines to work on and the instructions he gives are clear and simple to follow. There's not a better machine anywhere for straight stitch piecing, imho. Lucky you! Enjoy her.

She's a pretty little 'kitten' - I hope she'll purr for you!

What a wonderful find!

Make sure that you download the manual...she threads a bit differently than the average sewing machine.

Actually he does since he works in our neighborhood as a outside maintenance man. Mostly he brings home stuff that I make him take right back out...but this time he brought in a keeper.

I figured that much. I looked over her for a good while yesterday trying to figure it out. Decided to wait :-)

I had my 55th birthday on 02-02-02, does that count for anything?
