If she drinks/serves wine, Shabby Fabrics has a video on how to make really cute wine glass coasters with a charm pack so guests know which glass is theirs (and protects surfaces). They are round and look adorable.

Kitchen towels or guest towels. Monogram towels is an idea too, who doesn't like them. can't go wrong with towels. We can always use them.

How about a bottle of wine with a nice wine bag?

The three best gifts I received when moving into our home 9 years ago:
My daughter dropped off at the new house a laundry hamper that contained toliet tissue, two new bath towels and wash clothes, soap, toothpaste, paper towels, napkins, paper plates, Solo cups, plastic "silverware" and tylenol.
My coworkers dropped off juice, tea, fruit and Bojangles at the "old house"the morning of the move. Later that day they had pizza with soda and ice delivered to the new house. The next morning the door bell rang and I found a basket with bagels, spread, coffee beans and cream. I never did find out who dropped off the basket but I was so grateful.
I know it's awful but due to the stress of moving I can't remember a single gift item that anyone gave me at that time!

I agree and get a matching candle. Maybe something for the fourth of July? They seem the be all the rage on the board.

Maybe a few fabric Christmas ornaments. When I decorate my Chrisrmas tree I always think of from who or where I got each ornament when hanging each one on the tree.

Thanks deedum! My daughter got her practical nature from her dad:) We have actually starting using her idea (modifying the contents of the basket to fit the occasion) at church for new babies and funerals.

How about a Christmas tree skirt?

I made one for my daughter. It's from scraps of taffeta, velvet etc.
