It would be a challenge and I love a challenge. It's beautiful!

I definitely would not ever sign up for a project of that magnitude.

Could you maybe do the center design? I think its a 30 inch square. I've spent the afternoon looking over the first 6 months patterns. I've decided to take the plunge when I finish Erin Russeks "My Tweets" that was started over a year ago. I've only two more blocks and the center medallion. Pushing myself full steam ahead! Getting out of the comfort zone. Hope to see some of you there!

Beautiful quilt, but for me it would be in the "eye candy" file!

I wouldn't attempt it because it's not my type of quilt. However......don't let what I or anyone else say stop you if your heart says go for it!!!!! You can work on it a bit at at time, when it gets to you, put it down, do something else then come back to it. Will it take a long time? Probably. So what? Say it takes 20 years....those 20 will pass anyway and you won't have your quilt. Think how thrilled you'll be when it's done! I am trying to get more practice in different quilt types. I have found I love doing Bargello quilts. I learned stained glass quilting and love that too. Life is a journey and that quilt will certainly make yours interesting.

i wouldn't take it on, but it's not my kind of quilt.

i like so many of the words here, especially the ones right above mine. that's so true...in 20 years you'll have passed the time and you could have the thing finished! such a great perspective!

I've tackled some pretty small pp blocks= very miniatures, I'd say, but those are all machine sewn. I'm really not into hand sewing very much other than finishing off a binding. That's probably left over from when I hand sewed wedding gown hems for work. I do appreciate that type of quilting, I just don't do it myself.

Not going to make it any time soon but I am going to keep track of the site and some of the site threads. Fascinating.

Thanks so much.

I love to do needle turn applique, but that is too much. Beautiful, but not for me
