I found a good pattern for you http://weallsew.com/2012/08/09/quilt...h-quiltmotion/

Are you sure this is quilt fabric? It says it's metallic and good for dance costumes. Sometimes fabric like that is thin and somewhat stiff. It's beautiful, certainly, but I'm wondering, looking at the listing. You might be better off using the pattern suggestions here with another fabric.

hugs,
Charlotte

I love this fabric. It will be nice to "feature" this fabric in a quilt with other coordinating fabrics. Warm Wishes, Turning Twenty, Snowball/9 patch would all be good to do.

There are many patterns out there to make the butterfly's on front and use the fabric for the back. I also used the fabric in between the butterfly's.

i bought the exact same fabric. I'm using mine for the "fanlight" above my "stained glass butterfly" pattern. Love it!

I went to see the fabric...r u aware that it is in three rather odd cut sizes, this may interfere with what you might want to do with it. Just thought I would make mention of this......

FYI
I bought fabric exactly like that at Walmart and no shipping cost.

MSQC has a new tutorial on the hour glass quilhat would be very pretty with it. Nancy Zeiman also has a few tutorials for "Big Block quilts" that would be wonderful with a larger print.

Thanks for the great feedback! Already have 1.5 yards of fabric so not buying it off Ebay, just wanted to show the fabric in question but thanks to those for pointing out what I might have missed.

What size do you consider a lap quilt? 50 x 60? Something else?

Don't cut it, it is too beautifull, do a whole cloth quilt, bringing out the colours in the border.

KISS. (Keep It Simple S.....)
