How BIG/SMALL is it?

It would be soooooo helpful if members who post photos would please, please, please state the dimensions of their work, either in inches or size. Thanks!!!!!!!

Okay, but how is it helpful? Are you just curious?

I'm lucky if I have time to post a photo, let alone measure it out, but I can see how it would be nice to know. I usually put a pair of scissors or rotary cutter on the quilt to give reference.

I usually reset my photos so the largest measurement is 4". Don't know if it's right or not, but it works for me.

Why would that be helpful....???

I don't think she doesn't mean the size of the photo, I think she means the size of the object in the photo. In other words, what size is the quilt.

I don't know why that would help anything.

I suspect she's trying to decide if the pattern would work for a larger quilt and to know if it's a minature or bed sized would help determine whether she wants to try it for a quilt. For instance a Carpenter's Star that is lap sized would require extra large blocks to fit a bed if you used the same pattern and didn't add extra rows.

maybe so, but I don't see how the dimensions would help with that. Fabric calculation, maybe?

Does it really matter?
