I just designed this mug rug on my EQ5 and now I have no clue how to piece it together. Can anyone help me with this?

It is basically done as a six point star or tumbling block. Look in quilters cache for patterns like this and you should find instructions.

Y seams aren't so bad if you are good about marking where you start and stop. I draw the 1/4 inch stiitching line on all sides of the block and where they intersect is my start/stop point. I also make sure to backstitch or knot on Y seams.

If someone knows a better way please save me from myself. I hate the seam ripper...

If you subscribe to The Quilt Show, the latest episode with Laura Nownes demonstrates this exact piecing technique. Basically you sew to within but NEVER past 1/4 inch of where two pieces meet. I am sure there are tutorials on YouTube for sewing Y-seams. It is not difficult but you do have to be precise!

There are atleast 3 tutes here showing how to sew them...
