I use non-stick Fiskars for my fusibles. You would find them in the paper crafting section of stores. i got mine - large and small - at Joanna.

WD40 is great for getting rid of gummy stuff and won't harm the scissors at all. Pour a bit on a paper towel, work off the gummy stuff, then wipe any remaining WD40 off with a clean paper towel.

Hubby and I use WD40 all the time to remove glue from labels off of aluminum.
