How do you clean your scissors?

I have a couple of pair of scissors I use for appliqueing. They are gummy. How should I go about getting the fusible web pieces off of them? I don't think I should try anything until someone with knowledge can tell me what to use. I am doing a lot of appliqueing on this quilt and am 1/4 of the way done with cutting the fusible fabric and my scissors need to be cleaned. Any suggestions?

I use either Krud Kutter or Goo Gone. Takes all kinds of sticky off and doesn't hurt my scissors. I always use a little soap and dry them real good.

Thank you. I was afraid to even put water on them. I think I need to get some of the Krud Kutter or Goo Gone.

Waterless hand cleaner or hand sanitizer works well too.

I use denatured alchol and a soft rag, or if its really bad finger nail polish remover (oil free) both dry real fast, no chance to rust.

I use Goo Gone and then go over them with either Windex or alcohol (whichever I find, first).

I would use goo gone. I use it to remove glue from labels.

Thank you.

Which fusible are you using that's gummy?

A used dryer sheet takes melted fusible off an iron. Should work just as well on scissors and with no liquid mess.
