You need to take time for you and that means you will find your creativitiy in the process! It has no time constraints...so relax and enjoy the process :)

I'm retired, so I have the time to quilt. I don't think there is a day that I don't do something 'quilty'. Even if it were to just look at patterns or visit this board (which I do almost everyday!) When I'm in the middle of a project, I'm at my sewing machine daily!! I love to sew while I listen to the TV or I listen to an audio book. FUN, FUN, FUN!!

I do alot of it while my husband is watching t.v. or playing a video game. I have been blessed with not having to work full time but I am getting my masters degree but I always find down time to sew.

Working and spending time here is OK, but who told you you have to do housework and cook. At our home, if I'm sewing, if you are hungry you go get something to eat if the house is a mess and it bothers you, straighten it up. A system that works for us. I am 73 and my DH is 83. to old to work, clean or cook if I don't feel like it. Old is good sometimes. MNM<

So very very true. When I was working full time (retired now) I REALLY needed my therapy time. Time to do something I loved kept the world around me in perspective. Make time somewhere in each day.

I'm trying to convince my husband to become a polygamist. I would be the "quilting" wife and the other(s) could take care of the cooking, cleaning,.....

I make the time to sew and do crafty things. Otherwise, my time gets eaten up by supposed "haftado's". :)

That's a good one. I was considering remarrying just to have someone to prepare my meals and clean the house. Trouble is they expect something in return; and that is not quilts to sleep under.
