This makes me hopeful that I might actually be able to do bindings. Thanks so much for the link. :)

http://www.allpeoplequilt.com Go the video section and scroll to the bottom of the quilting section to the one where the preview shows a lady wearing a green shirt. Believe me this is the easiest thing in the world to do!!! And no one will ever tell where your binding started and ended!! |

Thanks everyone for the information and all the links. I have found lots of new ways to do my binding. I will try them until I find the one that works best for me.

That's not a knot up by the eye of the needle. She actually pierces the thread with the needle to make the loop. All this does is keeps the thread from slipping out of the needle while you're hand sewing. I don't do this. If the thread slides out of the needle, I just rethread it--and it doesn't happen that often.

I usually but my ending on the bottom of the quilt. Never end in a corner, how would you miter it then.
I learned to put bind on and miter it and end it from Kaye Woods 6 hour quilt book. It takes practice and go slow. You'll get the hang of it. Keep it rock'in simple quilter |
Bought a small Elmers glue and used it to glue the binding on the back.
It works great but sure wish I had that metal tip for a finer line. This will be my method from now on. Love it. Ironing it makes it stick really well. The small bottle has a smaller tip than the larger bottle. |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ot7Trk6J2Vw here are two other videos that explain how to attach binding by machine. It works really well and I use it for utility quilts: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wprg5...eature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MRfA...eature=related |
