I always feel sad, then it takes me a while to find the right fabric to do another one. :?

I feel happy knowing I did the best I could and I feel anticipation for the next project I will be starting.

Then why do you quilt? i'm surrounded by other artists and they all work with different mediums and i asked them all about this type of feeling and i've found that this is an extremely common feeling amongst artists. I think that I understand that and also have thought about hiding it - no fire though. I love fabric and paper. I wish I could overlook the imperfections. |
I feel pride and satisfaction. If I don't have another quilt cut and ready to piece, I feel lost and sad.

FREE !!!!!!!...........until I start the next one!

I always feel that way when I've finished a particulary good book too. This is exactly the same way I feel. Almost feel let down that the "adventure" is over. I am excited to move on and start another one but need to almost let go of the one I just finished. |
It's like reading a good book. You almost hate to get it done.

DEb, I just finished mt first quilt too and yes there are some mistakes byt I am proud. I did it and accomplished my goal and it is not a UFO and can move onto the next project. I say just like the Amish make a mistake in each quilt so my quilt is not perfect and the goal is to have fun anf enjoy making it.
