How do you get the free pattern download for this quilt?

http://www.robertkaufman.com/quiltin..._times_around/

It says free but how do you get it?

nativetexan 10-29-2014 09:18 AM

Hmmmmfff. what did you get when you clicked on Download more info? Usually it's easy.

Onebyone 10-29-2014 09:20 AM

I have clicked on everything. No pattern to be found. It downloads a picture saying the pattern can be found right back to the same link I was on. I called the toll free number and was told they don't know anything about the website. Oh well, it's easy to make without a pattern but I wanted the size of the blocks and construction directions.

justflyingin 10-29-2014 09:26 AM

It looks like the pattern isn't there yet. Keep checking back would be my advice.

Onebyone 10-29-2014 09:28 AM

The downloaded picture says available Sept. 2014. I guess they are slow.

ManiacQuilter2 10-29-2014 09:46 AM

They haven't released it to the public yet. I don't know why. It should say:

"Download this pattern"

Instead it says

"Download more info"

I tried to find any store that would have it on their site but none that I could find. Even the designer had it on her site but it came back to the same address you had. You can send them an email requesting a reason why. The date of releasing the fabric may have been postponed. I don't know.

nativetexan 10-29-2014 09:49 AM

well Animal Parade looks similar and it's coming November.

Ladibug 10-29-2014 11:09 AM

I sent an email to them to maybefind out what is going on. Will let you know what I find out.

RainyBC 10-29-2014 11:30 AM

When I click "download more info", the pattern appears in pdf format.

It is only the picture. That's what I get when I download it. Open it and see.

I just got the picture with a note it was coming in September. However, it looks like you could just get a triangle ruler and cut assorted pieces, then sew together in rows.

oneteappot 10-29-2014 11:44 AM

Try again. I just clicked and received the pattern. I clicked on the more info area. and a bubble popped up to D/L.
Or send me your email and I will forward it to you, if that is allowed.

MrsBeasley 10-29-2014 11:51 AM

Looks like 'Thousand Pyramids' to me. Try the one on Quilter's Cache.

Is it the whole pattern or just the front page? I can download the front page. I'll send you my email in a pm.

DebraK 10-29-2014 11:58 AM

MrsBeasley is right. This is a pretty standard pattern. You can find it many places.

dakotamaid 10-29-2014 01:08 PM

If you count the triangles going across and up it looks like the triangles are fairly large, maybe 9x9 inches. I not good with angles but this looks like 60 degree triangle. Easy enough to draft. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. :)

oneteappot 10-29-2014 01:09 PM

Sorry about the confusion, yes, the "pattern" is just a photo.

Ladibug 10-29-2014 03:42 PM

I got an answer back from them.

Hi Vicky,
I will forward your email to our marketing team to remind them to get this quilt up. Thank you for taking the time to let us know …
Kind regards,
Sandie McCann

Keep trying and maybe they will get it up soon. At least now they are aware of the problem.

audsgirl 10-29-2014 04:32 PM

I got it to download by clicking "downlode more info" button. It came up right away for me.

Not a pattern, just the picture. And apparently they're working on the problem.

you have to click on free patterns

gjc2001 10-30-2014 03:47 AM

When I click on free patterns and then click on the pattern it indicates it will be available for download in November, 2014. That's just around the corner. It looks like a fun quilt to make and with the stash I have I shouldn't have to go shopping for fabric. LOL!!!

Onebyone 10-30-2014 03:55 AM

Those that downloaded apparently doesn't know it is only the cover page that they got.

Thanks Ladibug. My phone call to them resulted in nothing. Makes sense to email for a website question.

clem55 10-30-2014 03:55 AM

free download

Right at the top it says to "download more info", click on that.

kwajgirl 10-30-2014 03:57 AM

Just click on more information and the download is automatic,

Onebyone 10-30-2014 04:04 AM

The pattern does not download only the cover page. That's why I posted in the first place.

I googled 60 degree triangle quilt tutorial and came up with a nice tutorial from DIY. I also thought I had seen one on MSQC but couldn't find it so perhaps it was somewhere else.

Roberta 10-30-2014 04:55 AM

It just brings up a box saying it can't be downloaded to my computer. This happens to me often when I try to download a PDF. Any suggestions on how I can stop this from happening? Is it my virus program causing it?

Geri B 10-30-2014 06:06 AM

Looks like an iscisolese triangle to me...with a bunch of different fabs.......no "pattern" needed.

Onebyone 10-30-2014 06:14 AM

I know I don't need the pattern to make it. That is not my purpose of having the pattern.

KyStitcher 10-30-2014 06:24 AM

Onebyone,
Did you ever get the pattern to download yet? I did and even printed out a full copy. I had to go to the web site and log in as I am already a member of allpeoplequilt. And finally after I saved a copy to my flash drive I got a full scale copy to print off from that. If you like you can pm me with your e-mail addy and I'll send it to you. But FYI the same thing that happened to you happened to me as well so I just said "heck with this" and went directly to web site. Got that puppy saved for ever growing bucket list!

tessagin 10-30-2014 06:34 AM

If you have a ruler that has the degrees of 30, 45, and 60 you can make your triangles from that. Just line it up from the inch line as to how big you want to make it.

Havplenty 10-30-2014 07:52 AM

onebyone this quilt was just debutted at Quilt Market in Houston last week in Valori Wells booth. My guess is that the pattern will be posted up real soon since her new fabric line was shown at market. I would check back. It is a beauty. I saw this quilt in pics from her booth and wanted it also.

Kwiltr 10-30-2014 08:15 AM

If you go to Valerie Wells blog, and click on the free pattern link, it takes you to the Robert Kaufman site for the fabric collection, which says isn't available until November. So my guess is that the pattern will be available, when the fabric is, later in November.

RuthiesRetreat3 10-30-2014 08:57 AM

Worked half way for me. Downloaded, but only the full-page picture of the quilt. No info, measurements or anything else. It's a puzzle...

riutzelj 10-30-2014 10:02 AM

This looks like a pattern that would be easy peasy with the Tri-Recs rulers. The side pieces are half of the whole triangle used in the body of the quilt. Yep, a variation on 1000 pyramids.

I don't know how you knew to go to allpeoplequilt to get the pattern. :) I sent you a pm.

Michael Miller fabrics also has 2 similar quilts on their free patterns page:
http://www.michaelmillerfabrics.com/...tpatterns.html

look at "Park Slope Triangles" and "prism"

Onebyone 10-30-2014 10:26 AM

The Prism quilt is identical, just different size triangles. I guess if the patterns are free anyone can slap their name on it. LOL
