QM, love your hack!
I did this yesterday for the jean bags I am currently making.
When I have to keep referring to a video, I type the steps with the needed measurements and such. And put the web address at the top so I can find the video when needed.
It goes in the "tutorials" folder.

Dunster, you've inspired me to make a "Favorites" folder on my computer to put things I want to make soon. I have so many patterns I've saved that I like but will probably not make. It will be good to have a group of things I want to and probably will make.

Quiltah Mama, it's always good to have a back up of important things. Since we've moved the business home, I have a desktop as well as 2 laptops to save things one. I also use a Passport external drive to back up things. Good to have back up.

I have a Pinterest folder for quilts with sub folders for different types of quilts. Most everything I make is what I found online. I don’t worry about patterns so much. I can usually reverse engineer a pattern and use the methods I like to get to the end result. I do buy some patterns if the idea is original or I especially want to support a designer.

If it is something I REALLY like, I will make a sample block and attach a note with whatever other info is needed. That block gets put on a separate design wall as a reminder.

But I also have about a dozen pieces of paper beside my computer, with patterns drawn out, or pattern names and notations. They are my 'thinking about it' file. I just need about 5 more quilting hours in my day--which would eliminate housekeeping and cooking. Works for me!!
