Since I'm a longarm quilter, I store my rolls of batting under my machine. I had my husband add another long piece of pipe and a hanger so I can now hang 6 rolls if I wish to..right now there are three rolls under, one Hobb's Wool, one 90" x 30 yd roll of Hobb's 80/20 and one a 108" x 30 yd roll of Hobb's 80/20. I keep each roll covered by plastic drop cloths to insure they stay clean.

i use what i need, then slide it back in the wrapping/box--and store it in the rafters of the basement. it's high enough to be out of the way, and safe and dry. big plus--the cat is too old to get up there and make a nest!

That's a good point. I always hated the creases. I'll have to look into the 10-yard roll the next time I have a coupon. So many great ideas here with how to store it, too. AND, I had to laugh at the gal who stores her in the shower (or was it a garden tub??)! LOL :)

It was garden tub. we only use showers, and no one goes into my bathroom!

Mine is standing in the corner of ny sewing room in the plastic bag it came in. I have some pre packaged batts on the top shelf of my closet.

In the Tub. Haha. My bathtub does not get used much, and I keep the rolls in their thick plastic bags just in case... Then I stand them on the ends and store them in the tub. That way, I have more room in the sewing room... :)

I have a very small laundry area (more of a large closet).
I am able to stand 4 yes 4! batting rolls alongside of the dryer. I keep large plastic bags on the bottom half in case of washer overflow and then another tied on from the top down to keep dust/lint from the ends.
In fact, I just finished up a roll and am wanting a roll of Quilters' Dream Wool! trying to save the money.
I love working from rolls...there is only one fold crease to mess with.

Mine stands in a corner of the room. My house is a cape so I have slanted ceilings to deal with, not much wall space and no hanging from the ceiling.

I have my roll standing in the corner of a spare bedroom behind the door...it is out of the way, and when I want to cut batting, I lay it on the bed and roll out. If I had more room, sure would like to store it in a different way, but it works at least for now.

I have a shelf in my sewing room so the top shelf is used to store the batting. It's off the floor and out of the way. Good luck
