I used to have a coffee cup warmer years ago. I have seen the same type of warmer years later that heats up big glass jar candles. I've seen them at Michaels. They work great too!!

Love your idea!!! Just be careful not to tip over your coffee!! :)

How about that ironing board, is it a square made by you?

That is a material called lexan is comonly used in sign faces but works as an exellent cutting and ironing surface. When im ironing on it, it will curl upwards towards the iron and when it cools will lie flat again kind of a handy thing to me. :)

Just watch you don't burn your hand when you reach for your cup! (sorry, my Dad used to be Safety Monitor at work and I always see potential accidents waiting to happen! )

Or -- burn your lip on a hot cup. You're a genius. I'm gonna have to find an old iron. I love your cup.

I was laughing from the picture, but when I read this I roared. Good thing I didn't have coffee in my mouth.

Chris----very clever. Me, I would spill the coffee or burn my hand. Or--my sis would come along and spill the coffee!

This is a good tip! I personally get hotter than hell between the iron, sewing machine light and high intensity lamp if I'm quilting at night. But then, being menopausal doesn't help! LOL

Is this something the ordinary person can buy? I think I have outgrown my regular ironing board. That one skinny side is madening while trying to press those longer queen seams. Where did you buy yours?

By the way, I use a stanley thermos to keep my coffee warm. I hate running up and down the stairs for a fill up.

Good idea

Aw yes, great idea! I'm pretty klutzy myself and have to be careful leaving the iron sitting anywhere. My cats just love to jump up on the ironing board, it tips it just enough to make the iron fall to the floor and it would dump that coffee out in a heartbeat!

Clever idea. But I'd probably spill it. LOL
