QUILTER GUY WROTE: I just improvised and made my cone holder and thread feed out of a wire hanger. It works perfectly and has for years and it didn't cost me a thing.

That is a great idea. That way it not trailing on the floor with the cats and dog playing with it.

I could try to get some, but if you're following my other thread I'm not doing much sewing right now. My sewing room looks like a tornado hit it. I'm not going to be home for a while, but if I get a chance I will take a picture of it for you. It was quite easy. I just made it up to fit my situation. I'm kinda crafty that way. lucky me!?!

good tip and someone uses a paper towel holder and winds the binding on the empty holder

Thank you all for the advice. I have some binding that I have to prepare so I started rolling it on an empty TP roll. You guys are always full of wonderfull tips!
