How long did it take you to complete a "Dear Jane" quilt?

I started Dear Jane or should I say Baby Jane mid last year completing only 18 squares, I've picked it back up again this last weekend after finishing another quilt. My goal is to at least do a lot more than 18 squares this year in between other projects. Just interested to hear how others journeyed through it and at what speed? XX

I haven't made a Dear Jane, but admire others who have. Most seem to say it took them 1.5 years. They haven't said if this was the only project they were working on, or one of many. Could we see some pictures of the blocks you have finished?

I wouldn't even want to attempt to make one. I think a friend started working on one but I don't think she has stuck to her schedule.

There is a "Dear Jane" section of the picture gallery here on the board....very beautiful quilts!

It is taking me forever - I bought the book and CD and it's sitting on my shelf. I think (once I get started), it will be a long term, in between other projects project!! Would love to see photos of your completed squares!

I'm just hand stitching the binding on the back now and I began almost exactly 3 years ago. But like many others, did take some long breaks in between.

I just started mine in Feb. I am in group that meets once a month to talk about which squares to do each month. The first month the squares were based on rotary cutting. The second month they were based on paper piecing. This month it is applique. In the group meeting we talk about the best method to use for each square and alternative ways to do things. I have 26 squares done. I still have 2 that need to be paper pieced and 11 that need applique. After the first month they want you to do 1 triangle each Friday. I have not started those yet. I am supposed to finish all the squares in 13 months.

Thank you for the replies, I'm not very tech savvy so don't know how to post a photo on here (I'm ashamed to say) - I will speak to my son to see if he can help with photos.
