I know this was said before but I feel it should be reemphasized that you should only store quilts in a cotton pillow case, wrapped in acid-free tissue paper. It really preserves them. So we should probably make a pillowcase along with the quilt. Ya think???

i've gifted over 300, i probably have about 20 quilts at home with an additinal 40 tabletoppers and wall hangings.

Most of mine are made for a particular person or cause. However, I do have a few "closet quilts" which are solely mine bacause I made them!! I enjoy giving them away and they are always appreciated.

I can't seem to get enough made to gift to all our family. I'd love to have a big stack to show off here at home

I have made over 50 quilts, I have about half of them. The others were gifts, or sold.

I have about 6 or 7 mostly wall hanging types. I have lots of tops to finish and hopefully some will be mine. I have given away 5 to 10 a year for charity for the past 10 years. A few years back, I took two years to make bed size quilts for each member of our family (all 15). Now I am trying to make some bed quilts for my self.

I have made way over 100...I'd have to get my books down
and count. I have probably 40 here at home, maybe more. Three beds, and they always have a quilt on them, but I do change them from time to time. Some accumulate because our guild only has a quilt show every 3 years. I like to put them in a quilt show before I give them away. A few are baby quilts, and I keep a few on hand so I don't have to stop in the middle of another project to do a couple. I hand quilt, so I can't just whip them up real fast. Several years ago I made seasonal quilts..one for each month of the year so that wall hanging changes 12 times a year. Then I have an enclosed front porch and I always have at least one out there, sometimes more than one, and they are also changed out for the holiday or occasion. A few I made in the 80's and I would find it hard to part with them right now. Oh, yes, three displayed on an old ladder in my living-room, one my mother made, one my paternal grandmother who died before I was born, and the 3rd was made by my maternal great grandmother. I love having them out where I can see those every day. |
i gift them to the animal shelter they auction them off at the x mas auction. They always need help, the rest go to my friends
