I never buy kits.
|
I was spoiled... I had friends at the quilt store here so I had kits custom made for me and they made a couple extras to sell based on the colours I picked. Some how I tend to pick the it colour the year before its the it colour.... no idea how i manage that but it just seems to work that way

Being a relatively new quilter (since January this year), I already have 3 kits not started! Two were fabrics I knew would take me forever to collect (one for my daughter as wants a totally neutral queen-size quilt, another for a watercolor apron) and third kit is of fabric I couldn't find anymore online or in stores otherwise. Since I don't have scraps as yet, nor much of a stash, and having to do early retirement last year ... sometimes kits are more economical!

I have about 15, but I often add my own fabrics to them, as I don't like all the fabrics in the kit. Plus have been making my own kits: buying pattern, collecting fabrics, and putting in a clear shoe box for some day! :)

Seven that I can think of. :?

I only have one partial kit - bought it in parts & it went out of stock before I could finish it.

absolutely none.

I never buy kits, because it is so much fun to go to the LQS and hunt for the perfect fabric for a planned quilt. For me, kits would take away the fun of "hunting"

Too many to count !!

I have 4, don' tusually buy kits. Kinda like a lot of you that I don't care for their color choices. But then, once in a while just yells out to me. So the 4 I have, which are still in the zip bags they came in. I do plan to get two of them finished this winter, if my health holds. I'm on a new Chemo drug and so far so good. A few of the normal side effects but so far, nothing I can't handle.
