Six works best for me with a 45mm blade. Any more than that I my cuts get a little wonky.

It really depends on the cutter for me. I have a small, medium, and large. The large can do 8.

I have cut 6 when making OBW's but I prefer 2-4.

I've cut my 1.5" squares for swapping in 8 layers. Didn't have a problem.
