When I see or hear abt a book I'm interested in, I always first check abebooks.com -- a network of independent sellers of used books. I always find it cheaper there.

As far as I can see in my sewing room, apparently I need LOTS!! LOL

I have an addiction to books. Yesterday I bought two quilting books on clerance for a total of $5.00. Now who could resist that :?:

I never buy a book or magazine unless I find at least 3 projects that really make me want to start sewing them right then and there. I have way too many of each and still like to collect when something new and exciting comes my way.

Me too! I am overflowing! I cannot resist checking the grocery store or the pharmacy or Wal-mart or the bookstore whenever I am there for new and interesting quilting magazines. I have started going back through them also and putting a sticky note on the front if there is a particular pattern or tip I like. My plan is to copy the patterns I like on my color copier and put them in a binder. Then I have all the magazines to pass on so others can enjoy them! (of course, I'll never be able to make ALL the patterns I like)

I think a varity is key if thats lots well there you go - I use them for inspriation and ideas of what I might work on next - besides 50 or so books I have tons of patterns
