too many! I have given to all family members and charity, but generally keep ones that I make without having been made for someone specifically. I keep a quilt journal and for each quilt I put which child receives it when I die (or other person sometimes). I don't go ahead and give these to my kids (although they have many) because I don't want them being used as dog beds--at least while I'm alive!

Zero for me. I came late to quilting - coming up on 10 years. I have so many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren that I never get caught up. Someone is always getting married, graduating from college or having a baby. I do a Double Irish Chain in the works for me and fabric for a two fabric bargello. I've done prayer quilts for church and donation quilts for Cystic Fibrosis, too.
I have fabric collected for a Garden Gate quilt for my bed, but it's on hold as long as I have a dog on my bed.

I keep most of mine. I have made several for the grands, daughter in law (wall hangings) and a lot of baby quilts to give away. But I mostly quilt for my own pleasure to try out a new technique, thread, etc and then like them. One day they will all get donated.

I have 12 quilts of various sizes. I have 2 quilts for each bed; 1 for spring/summer and 1 for fall/winter. I have 1 quilt I use as a table cloth, 3 quilts are hanging on the wall, One quilt was made for me by my family for my 80th birthday and I treasure it along with a quilt I made after my mother died. I cut up all of the cotton house dresses she wore and I made a quilt with them. I also have a quilt made by the quilt guild in Juneau, Alaska that I won at the South Florida County Fair. I always know exactly what I am going to do with a quilt when I make them. I have gifted my children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. I usually make my grandchildren a quilt when they are born, when they graduate from high school and when they get married. That keeps me busy because I have a large family. I also enjoy making wall hangings, table runners and table toppers.

I have a collection of quilts that I keep because they are exchange blocks from the members of my quilt guilds. But quilts I have made specifically for me are very few. Most of the quilts I make are for family I have a goal of one for every member of my family. This started with baby quilts for the babies as they arrived and grew to graduation and wedding quilts. Now, I am working on the folks who have not fit into any of those categories. Bottom line and back to the topic at hand is.....I keep very few of the the quilts I make. I create them for others and seldom for myself.

I have a lot. I make a lot for donation and I make a lot for my family. They all say they have more than they need. I have gifted some to friends. During this pandemic most of what I have made is for donation and my pile hasn’t increased.

I mentally count 15 around the house. My sister has about 4. Mom, too. Aunts and some cousins have received gifts. If you get married or have a baby, you get a quilt! I visited one of my best friends the other day, and she had the quilt I made for her on the guest bed. It felt amazing to see it being appreciated.

I keep most of mine. No family to give any to, and since I take a *very* long time to actually make a quilt I don't have very many!! As time progresses and I get a surplus I will look into donation.

Zero. I've never made a quilt to keep! I only make baby quilts for family and close friends and sadly, I don't even have pictures of most of them! It's funny, I was just thinking I might make a throw quilt to keep...a buffalo plaid in tan, beige, and cream if I can find the right fabrics.

I have a large trunk full of quilts, a quilt for each bed and about 4 hanging quilts, those are for keeps for a while. I have a stockpile of quilts on a small loveseat in my dining room. That stockpile is what I let visitors and family choose from when I want them to have a quilt. The ones in the trunk are the ones I like the most. Either they went into a show or they just turned out great. When I want to add one to the trunk, I take one out of the trunk and it goes to the stockpile.
