I have 9 quilt tops that need to be quilted. I need to piece the backs for a few of them, and need to purchase backing for 2. I have 2 quilt tops in progress, and 2 quilts cut and ready to sew. ( I always cut my 'kits' at home before heading to quilt retreat-- I'm too distracted at retreat to cut accurately)

I have 3 waiting for quilting (hand) and 4 "sets" of fabric to start on.
On our honeymoon, many, many, many years ago, we visited his very elderly grandmother. She opened a dresser drawer, filled with quilt tops, pulled out 3 and gave them to me as a wedding gift. I wondered how she could have all that unfinished. Those 3 were the start of my quilting. |
I don't count. My head is not in the sand trying to avoid them, but it gets top overwhelming to have that number hanging over my head. So, solution for me is to do one new quilt, one UFO, new, old, new, old until the number is zero or at least reasonable.

I didn't know there was a UFO group here. Where is it?

Susie Q look in challenges.
Started to count - my lips are sealed! |
Thank you!

I have one waiting for me to machine quilt it but am not ready for the basting it together process. I hate that step and then to use up Christmas fabric, I have two Christmas quilts cut and ready to sew together. Am saving that for a quilt retreat I am going to in a couple of weeks so I guess I have 3 UFO's. Not too bad.

I think I probably have more than 10, each in various stages of completion. I'm currently actively working on two of my oldest (one is a wallhanging from about 8-9 years ago, and the other a queen from 5 years ago), so at least I'm making progress!!

Probably 12-15 completed tops that just need to be backed, batted and quilted. I have 4 others in various stages (1 quilted, needs binding; one in the process of being quilted and 2 waiting their turn to be quilted)

I wonder if anyone is keeping tabs on the total.....:)
