love the potato bags, cook sweet potatoes and corn on the cob in mine
|
I sold a ton at 8.00 each..made some larger ones for the tortilla idea and charged 10.00..nobody ever questioned it!!
|
I've been making these for years and have always used scraps of polyester batting. I use mine weekly and have never had any problem with the poly batting. I did buy some of the new batting, though, and will try that next time.

I have seen them at craft shows for $6.

Question__Why would you ever put them in a bag to cook?

Why wouldn't a cotton terry towel work to wrap the 'taters in?...should give you the same benefits and is easy to wash and use as a towel when you want to...think multi-purpose.

I've been selling my potato bags for years for $8.00 ea, time to raise the price. I love them for corn on the cob too.

these are bags made out of cotton for cooking potatoes in the microwave. everything has to be 100% cotton - material, batting, thread. you can also use it for corn or dinner rolls[/quote]
Can you tell me what is the advantage of using a potato bag in the microwave? Do they cook faster? Never heard of such a bag. Why not ask your friend what she paid for the one she has and then decide if you can make one at that price. |
