If I charged for my time, then I would have to give out credit applications with every purchase.

Ok I took my bow tucks to work the other day. Someone mentioned that I should try to sell them on the internet. She told me that I should take orders for things that I make.
1)I don't know how to go about selling anything on line. 2) I work a full time job so I don't get to work on projects all day. If I am lucky maybe on my vac. days or a saturday or 2 will be all day. I work on projects in the evening until I go to bed. But not always everyday. 3) I am not quick at making something. But knowing I need to get it finished I will work on it as much as possible. 4) If I were to take orders would I just make it with what ever fabric I want and the way I want (like the bow tucks with a button or snap)? 5)Do I need to build a supply of things before trying to sell them especially on line? How do you sell your projects? |
If you take orders, then you are more or less obligated to do the work for them. If you make them and then sell them, you can move at your own pace.

After I started making them people wanted certain colors and I have to drive 100 miles round trip for fabric- I would rather sell what I have made up with fabric I have.
