Just about every time I sit down at the sewing machine, or the cutting table, or reading the pattern; that is why they make seam rippers, erasers and why I always buy a little extra of a fabric. However, I could call them design changes. Nah, but I try not to do the same dumb thing twice.

Instead of Louise, I think that mistake should have been my middle name. I make them all the time, and not just in quilting. Oh my!!

If I stopped to count I'd never get anything finished. Welcome to the club.

My opportunities to learn more patience occur daily. Today I spent an hour with my seam ripper.

I make mistakes so often, I have named my sewing/craft room 'The Rip it Room'

I call it creative license. Right now I'm wondering whether to add solid borders to each OBW block. I think they look too similar without the borders, but the border fabrics I've tested make the blocks look drab. I'm being wishywashy about it, and can practically guarantee that whichever way I choose, I will wish I'd gone the other way. No worries, put that quilt together and give it to someone who will love it.

Perfect GrannieAnnie, learning opportunities. Yes, I have lots of those.

That would be every time I start quilting. :) My seam ripper just loves being used!

LOL All the time!

As someone else said "that's why I have 4 rippers nearby". I have a ripper with me constantly, no matter how careful I am in piecing, I end up piecing the right side to a wrong side, have it off just enough to ruin the block, or have the HST positioned wrong. I have given myself 'talks' about being slower and more careful, and it still happens !!
