How to put these blocks together

I've just made several of these no waste Granny Squares
http://sewhappygeek.co.uk/index.php/...-quilt-blocks/
but I don't understand how to sew them together into a quilt. Any tips.

You could put some sashing in between each block. Depending on how big you want it.

I think I would just sew the blocks together without sashing for a quilt top. The triangles joined up will make a secondary kind of single Irish Chain design between the coloured squares.

Either of the above two suggestions would work. Why not play around with your blocks and see which you like best.

If you're having problems with the "on point" setting, or figuring the side triangles, look for a really good tutorial on this. I know Jenny Doan from Missouri Quits has one on You Tube.

just be sure that there is at least 1/4" beyond the GS block... otherwise you will lose your points

you can sash with black or whatever your outer triangle color is and the blocks will float. here is an example I made, sashing with white, my outer triangle color:

I agree, the colored blocks will really POP!

I think it would be beautiful wlith or without sashing.

DebraK, yours is so pretty! I like the controlled colors better than scrappy, I think.
