I, too, have made a very large red and cream Hunters Star Quilt. It is one of my favorites. I sent my quilt to be long-arm quilted. I just chose an overall pattern and it looks fantastic! Good luck!

Love your fabric choices.

Lovely blocks! I would plan a big design for the 4 large triangles that make a square, maybe another star. I would SITD the other formed stars and echo the v shapes between the star tips.

I like this idea! I have no specific suggestions for the 4 large triangles though. I also wanted to tell you how much I love your quilt so far. Can't wait to see it finished!

That's already gorgeous and going to be really spectacular when you're done!

This blog post inspired me to make my first HS - she has this and a couple of other HS showing the quilting she chose http://mmmquilts.blogspot.com/2013/0...for-paula.html

I am super new to quilting but my first thought was circles in the diamond sections and SITD on the rest. Beautiful quilt!

I love your quilt, it is really beautiful. What method did you use to piece it? I hope to make one soon.
