I have an Iris, Designer I and a Serger from Viking. Then a Janome Gem to take to classes and workshops. I have been happy with all my machines. The Designer I bought because I thought I really wanted to get into embordiery, however nowdays I seem to just use it for quilt labels as quilting is really my love. I take mine and get it cleaned every 12-18 months and that is all. Not had any problems. The majority of our guild members seem to have Janome's or old Singers.

I have two Vikings, each of my sisters has at least two, My Mom has three. We love them!

I love my Saphire 875Q, it was a gift from my DD. It has a larger area fpr manipulating fabric & I can really tell the difference compared to my older machines.

Love my Lily 545 and have worked it hard. She is always there for me.

I have a Quilt Designer II with an embroidery arm and a Viking 100. I just bought a Huskystar to leave in fla when i spent the winter. I love all of them. My favorite is the designer II because of all of it's special features. My most favorite machine is my 1968 Capital machine that I use to make all my tote bags and purses for my granddaughters. I can sew anything with it and not worry about burning up the motor. I also have an old metal Viking and two old Singers. Old metal machines are great workhorses.

I have had both a Husquavarna (from about 1980) and a Pfaff Tiptronic 2020 (for the last 10 years) and love them. Both are excellent machines, and I can recommend both brands heartily.

I love mine. My second machine was my aunt's viking. Loved it, but after 25 years they were having trouble getting parts. I got a new one and love it even more.

They are still as expensive as they've always been, but I think I'd check first to see if the new ones are made in Sweden or China. They closed down their Sweden plant over a year ago, and all machines are now made in China. I'm not sure I'd want to pay the same price for a China-made machine.

I have a sapphire 875Q and love it. It is a great machine. As far as I'm concerned, you can't go wrong with a viking.
