It's good to know we are not the lone ranger here! I have the same problem. But I love having this problem. Sometimes it's like Christmas. I start looking for something and find something else that I haven't seen in years and I get soooooo excited.

Oh Cindy, I am right there with you. I just moved my sewing room to a different area, so I actually saw all those things I have collected! It's a blessing, and a curse!

KathyE, you sound like me. I have a very short memory (always have had) and I'll go looking for something and come across something I didn't remember having and be really thrilled to find it, my DH just laughs at me and says every day is like Christmas to me.

I know what you mean! My cookbook collection got out of hand. 9 cases now stored in the basement. 2 five shelve bookcases left in my quilting room. My goal is to use all my stash up now before I buy more.(trip to Padukah doesn't count) At least my quilting room is organized right now and I don't look like I have a room for the hoarders show. Happy quilting!

My name is MaryJane and I'm a gadget girl too!! I fully admit it and my kids live to give them to me as gifts!! I have more gadgets than fabric!

Yeah, me too! I have lots of rulers that I have yet to use, but they call to me at quilt shows!

I thought it was a quilt fairy that was buying all those gadgets and books and dropping them off in my quilt room because she didn't need then anymore!

I made a prairie pointer out of heat resistant Mylar. I took my 45 degree ruler and mark the 45 sides, cut it out, them mark 2 & 3, inch line from the point down and a center mark for when I iron. I just put the fabric on the bottom, fold the side of the fabric over to meet the center marks and press. It works great for me. I always get the same size prairie points this way.

You are funny! I guess your only choice is to use all your gadgets as you can and clear out your stash by making more quilts! Then you get to get more stash!

Not like this for quilting gadgets but you should see my cross stitch, knitting and scrapbooking stuff!
